Crossfire CFCL Elite: August Summary

The third season of the CrossFire Competitive League is officially over and we are proud to announce that our team placed 7th place overall and thus won the $300 and 200,000 ZP part of the prize pool. While that might not sound like a lot, it is very impressive considering they just got out of Open.

In our first match of the first week, we played against PENTA Sports where we took a very close victory with a 17-16 score. Our second match saw us defeat GetBrikt, the second best team in North America, 20-13.

Match number three was unfortunately our first loss. Despite a close match, FlipSid3 Tactics managed to take the win with a 19-16 score. We later made up for that loss with a beat 19-17 victory against nolteamk to bring us a 3-1 record on the first day.

While our second week did not go as well as the other two, we still manage to rack up a flawless 20-0  victory against Asintado. As for the other matches, one was an 8-20 loss against ruLegends and the other was a much closer 13-20 against Final Gaming.

We really brought it back on the third and last week with two out of three wins. Our first win was 16-15 against Instinct, followed by 19-14 against Teamw0w. Thankfully, our only loss was 11-15 against Carbon.

This sets us up very nicely for future events as a new team like ours placing within the top ten of the competitive league is very good news. Next month’s matches will be played on 9/8, 9/15 and 9/22 but who we play has not been confirmed yet.
